Reproduction of a deck of cards originally designed by Lewis I. Cohen in the mid-nineteenth century, and reproduced in 1864 as the "Highlanders" deck.
The court cards were designed to look similar to earlier European (see our Seventeenth-Nineteenth century deck) and American cards, but this reproduction has a matte-finished coating, giving greater durability than some other reproduction decks. Particularly suitable for American Civil War period reenactment.
Single-ended court figures are full-length, and cards have square corners. An additional plain ace of spades is also included.
Deck comprises 53 playing cards and two information cards. Cards are laminated. Card dimensions 3.5” x 2.5”.
