Our tables games, as well as some of our other larger games, are made to order. The set shown here is a box backgammon, typical for the eighteenth century, with deep borders that allow the board to close to form a box. The leaves are elongated, so that the playing area on each leaf is narrow. The points are painted in red and white. An approximate price for this set would be in the region of £200.

 Playing pieces are of natural (white) and stained (black) beech wood; and these are supplied, with two bone dice, in a drawstring pouch.
