This original strategy game plays out an angry disagreement within the forum of a provincial town in Roman Britain. Two opposing factions of citizens have come to blows, and are pursuing each other across the forum plaza and in its surrounding corridors. Once trapped, hapless citizens are quickly dispatched. Two guards and a magistrate with uncertain allegiances add to the mayhem.
Leather board and wooden gaming pieces. A game for two players.
Early in the 3rd century AD, a small town in the Province of Britannia Secunda is about to be visited by the Provincial Governor, who requires denarii to pay his soldiers, and is expecting taxes to be handed over
But the taxes have disappeared, two groups of citizens blame each other, and come together in the Forum to discuss matters
Despite the efforts of the presiding Magistrate, they quickly come to blows and are soon pursuing each other across the forum plaza and in its surrounding corridors
All citizens can move freely on the board, but must co-ordinate their moves to try to trap their enemies while avoiding capture themselves
Once trapped, hapless citizens are quickly dispatched
However, the Magistrate and two forum guards have wavering allegiances, swapping sides each time citizens are murdered, so players must beware!
