War in the Welsh Marches

This original strategy game plays out a battle between a Marcher Lord and Welsh raiders on land between two castles in the frontier territory of the borderlands between England and Wales in the 12th century.

Leather board and wooden gaming pieces. A game for two players.

• A Marcher lord has lost one castle to raiders from Wales, and must fight them for control of this stretch of the borderlands
• The two fighting forces line up in front of their respective castles and battle begins
• Soldiers battle forward -  if enough can get behind enemy lines they can seize the castle and claim victory
• Beware! push too many men forward and you may not be able to protect your own territory
• Keep your own lord well protected too - if he falls the battle is lost
