Leather board and wooden gaming pieces. A game for two players.

• British and French navies, each with three classes of ship, assemble somewhere in the Channel, and fight for dominance
• The poor range and accuracy of early cannon requires ships to come alongside, enabling cannon and small arms fire, as well as boarding by soldiers
• Larger ships have greater firepower but are less manoeuverable, so must beware or they may pass the battle front and cease to be of aid to their fellows
• Ships are captured when two enemies of equal or greater firepower approach on either side
• Beware the smallest ships - they may seem weak, but are highly manoeuverable and correspondingly dangerous!
