This original strategy game plays out a battle in the first few years of the Civil Wars of the seventeenth century. Royalists and Roundheads line up their Cavaliers, Pikemen and Musketeers and the battle begins.
Leather board and wooden gaming pieces. A game for two players.
Royalist and Parliamentarian armies advance towards each other, capturing enemy soldiers
Pikemen advance steadily, encumbered by their weapons and unable to retreat, and must kill at close range
Musketeers can move back and forth on the field of battle, but their weapons are accurate at medium range only, and they must have a clear line of sight to fire
Cavaliers ride back and forth warily, ready to seize the opportunity to leap forward, when they may eliminate many of the opposition in one fell swoop
The winner is the player who captures the opposing player's general, or forces his surrender
