A version of the 9 x 9 tafl game with oak board and beechwood or ceramic playing pieces.

Quarter-sawn oak board, with a choice of wooden or ceramic pieces, which are supplied in a linen pouch. Comes with rules and historical notes.

• Oak board 9" x 9"; squares 7/8" across
• Playing pieces of beech wood or fired clay
• One king; 8 natural (wood) or white (ceramic) pieces; 16 black (wood) or terracotta (ceramic) pieces
• Pieces are 3/4" diameter
• Pieces supplied in a linen pouch

• c.9th to 18th century (in northern Scandinavia)
