 A version of the 9 x 9 tafl game with oak board and ceramic playing pieces.

Quarter-sawn oak board, with glazed ceramic pieces, which are supplied in a leather pouch. Comes with rules and historical notes to the full range of tafl games.

• Oak board 11" x 11"; squares 1" diameter
• Glazed ceramic playing pieces
• One King; plus 8 yellow pieces; 16 green pieces
• Pieces are c. 7/8" diameter
• Pieces supplied in a drawstring leather pouch

Historic Period or Date:

• 9 x 9 tafl is known from c.9th to 18th century (in northern Scandinavia)
• Our glazed ceramic pieces are in a medieval colour and style
