The English Civil War Games Collection includes Fox and Geese, one of the most popular board games of the 17th century; a handmade reproduction in oak of a Long Lawrence, a 17th century long dice used for playing the gambling game of Put and Take; a reproduction of a pack of playing cards from the period; and a cotton pouch of four solid pip dice sufficient for playing dice games of the times.
Suitable for anyone from 7 years and up. Full rules for all games included. Dice and Long Lawrence in cotton pouches; Fox and Geese in a sturdy cardboard tube, with a leather board (we can provide a linen board if preferred). The cards are unlaminated; and the backs are blank, as was common on most early decks.
